PRESS RELEASE - 2/8/2006 Jones Blasts Bush at Archer Heights Civics Association Forum Third congressional district Republican candidate Arthur Jones, called for the impeachment of President Bush and Vice President Cheney Feb. 8, at a meeting of the Archer Heights Civic Association. Said Jones: "I believe we were lied into this war by both President Bush, and Vice President Cheney." That brought a round of applause by the audience. Then, Jones continued, "And for the lies they told and the thousands of American and innocent Iraqi lives lost, both President Bush and Vice President Cheney, should be impeached, tried, convicted and evicted from their high offices of public trust which they have betrayed." That brought another round of applause. Jones then went on to call for the repeal of all the most recent and pending trade agreements - "WTO, FTAA, NAFTA and CAFTA are giving American workers the shafta." Jones called these agreements, "treasonous trade treaties." He then singled out the AFL-CIO pointing out to the audience that the AFL-CIO has a "family reunification policy" for illegal aliens; opposes a cap on third world refugees being admitted into the country and also opposes imposing penalties on employers who hire illegal aliens. Said Jones," If the AFL-CIO is so concerned with American jobs and the welfare of American families, then they should join me in demanding the repeal of these treasonous trade treaties and stop giving jobs away to illegal aliens, or reunifying their families." Citing other issues, Jones stated he was totally opposed to abortion, and would support a federal law allowing citizens to carry a concealed weapon after passing a criminal background check. Pointing out that he is a health insurance broker with over 20 years experience, Jones offered a plan to require medical doctors and health care specialists to take annual "medical competency exams," as a means of weeding out incompetent doctors and health care workers. "If they pass the medical competency exam," said Jones," they would have their malpractice insurance premium paid by the state and or the federal government on condition they also agree to lower their costs to their patients." "However," added Jones," if they fail the exam, that would be the end of their medical career until they pass it." According to Jones," this reform alone would save over $100 Billion dollars a year and thousands of lives, as medical errors are now the eighth leading cause of death in the United States." Arthur J.
